Who is Clay

Clayton Bowman was born and raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He graduated high school in 2001. He enlisted in the Army in 2002.

He has been assigned to the following areas in his career: Fort Wainwright, AK; Illesheim, Germany; Fort Carson, CO; Camp Red Cloud South Korea; Fort Huachuca, AZ; Buckeye, AZ; Meza, AZ and Joplin, MO.

His civilian education includes the SOLE Demonstrated Logistician Certification, Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist Certifications and Associates in Applied Studies in Healthcare Administration. He is currently working on his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies.

His military awards and decorations include the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Iraq Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd Award), Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism, Army Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Non Commission Officer Professional Development Ribbon (2nd Award), Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), and NATO Medal. He has also been awarded Basic Aviation Badge, Driver and Mechanic Badge with Mechanics Clasp and Recruiter Badge. He holds identifiers as an instructor and Master Resilience Trainer.

He is married with three children but has two dogs and two cat. His hobbies include watching movies and TV shows, cooking, weightlifting, writing, and supporting children’s athletic adventures.
